    Principal's Message

    Gwendolyn DeWees, Ed.D. is Cipriani's principal.  Dr. DeWees is an experienced educator who is entering her fourth year in Belmont-Redwood Shores, after five years with the San Lorenzo Unified School District.  Dr. DeWees is in her 18th year of administration, and her fourth year as Principal of Cipriani Elementary. She has experience promoting community and collaborative teams in a range of educational settings, and she has demonstrated a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse learners. 

    Dr. DeWees lives in San Francisco with her son, Carleton, who is currently a student at San Francisco State University. Her daughter, Sage, lives and attends college in Chico. Dr. DeWees recently earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) from San Francisco State University.
