Art in Action
Cipriani is proud to offer a well-rounded art curriculum at our school. In
Art in Action classes, students analyze masterpieces of art, learn about
artists and art styles, and create their own works of art inspired by the
concepts and techniques they have studied.
AiA integrates four key disciplines:
- Art History
- Art Evaluation
- Art Appreciation
- Art Production
The AiA program is run by Cipriani parent volunteers who are trained to
teach kids about famous artwork, different techniques and a variety of
artistic media, such as watercolor, clay and oil pastel.
Cipriani children create more than 1000 unique art pieces each year, thanks
to the efforts of our dedicated adult volunteers. Student work is displayed
at the Annual Cipriani Art Show, and at monthly events at the San Carlos
Library.
